Eurocamp offers greener way to travel
Camping expert Eurocamp is now offering its customers a greener way to travel to many of their chosen holiday destinations. The holiday company is giving customers the opportunity to travel by train and the chance to off set carbon emissions via websites carbontrust.co.uk and co2balance.com.These new services are all part of the company’s plan to be more environmentally efficient, and are a further expansion of Eurocamp’s promise to provide today’s holidaymakers with real choice.
Eurocamp.co.uk includes details on responsible tourism and caring for the environment, as well as highlighting parcs that are easily accessible by rail travel and public transport.
Eurocamp managing director, Deborah Beckett, said: “This is about offering holidaymakers the choice of a more environmentally friendly way to travel. With excellent links across Europe, public transport such as trains can actually be a fast and less stressful way of travelling.
“With the environment so high on the public agenda, our aim is to encourage sustainability in as many aspects of Eurocamp holidays as possible. We have a dedicated page in our brochure and on the website and many of our parcs in France have been awarded the Green Key Diploma for environmental management.”
Eurocamp continues to also offer fly drive and airport transfers, as well as self drive facilities for travellers – all with the option to off-set carbon emissions.
