Cooking up a great holiday in Austria

Tirol High standards of accommodation and excellent cuisine are an integral part of the culture of the Austrian Tirol. Much is produced organically and many kitchens focus on gastronomy, organic cuisine and healthy cooking.

Holidaymakers wanting to take their skills home can take part in a choice of cookery courses, including a two day course with Martin Sieber, Austria’s top chef, at the renowned Hotel Trofana Royal in Ischgl, and half and full day courses at the Michelin starred Restaurant Schindlhaus in Soell.

LEARN THE SKILLS OF AUSTRIA’S TOP CHEF
Martin Sieberer is Austria's top chef. The multi-awarded Michellin star chef has for many years run the kitchens in the Hotel Trofana Royal in the top Tirolean resort of Ischgl. Throughout June, July and August 2007, on selected dates, the hotel hosts a two day cookery course with the master himself, for EUR 220 per person, (including ingredients, excluding accommodation).

TOP TIPS FROM MICHELIN STARRED BROTHERS
The Michelin starred Restaurant Schindlhaus in the Tirolean village of Soell, run by two young chefs, brothers Markus and Christian Schindlhaus, offers half and full day cookery courses between Mondays and Thursdays. A half day course (1400 – 1900 hrs) costs 79 euros and a full day 170 euros, including ingredients.
