Intrepid Travel launches African challenge

22nd March 2007 Print
Intrepid Africa Renowned for their commitment to responsible tourism, Intrepid Travel and sister company Guerba are proud to announce an ambitious new eco-friendly campaign. With help from you and your friends their aim is to plant 12,000 trees in Africa in just 30 days! Starting from 1st April 2007 Intrepid will plant a tree in Africa for every person who registers on their website.

Register free of charge on Intrepidtravel.com/africatrees and not only will you be doing your bit to save the planet, you’ll also receive a 10% discount voucher to spend on Intrepid and Guerba group trips in Africa including Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Madagascar, Egypt and Algeria as a ‘thank you’.

Environmental issues are close to Intrepid and Guerba’s hearts, and this campaign builds on Guerba’s long standing relationship with Woodlands 2000 Trust. Intrepid and Guerba already plant a tree with Woodlands 2000 for every week someone travels with them in East Africa. The Kenyan-based, non-governmental organisation plants trees to provide alternative wood supplies for local people so that the indigenous forest is left untouched. Together Intrepid and Guerba have already planted around 12,000 trees and with your help they would like to plant another 12,000 by the end of April 2007.

As a thank you for registering to plant a tree, Intrepid are offering you the chance to experience Africa yourself with 10% off trips such as:
