Race-goers will be all of a flutter with Park Resorts

With Ascot and the summer racing season at starters orders, Park Resorts has put together a selection of midweek breaks designed to attract those holidaymakers keen for a flutter.

Featured in its Short Break Holidays brochure, the operator has highlighted the best parks to use as a base for a day at the races – and to ease the selection it has even put together a timetable of race fixtures at each of the key UK racecourses.

In Yorkshire, Cayton Bay is the best bet for York, while Withernsea Sands is close to Beverley’s horseracing action. In Norfolk, California Cliffs is a great nearby option for Great Yarmouth race goers, while Heacham Beach is close to Fakenham racecourse.

Other recommendations include Romney Sands for Folkestone Racecourse in Kent; Whitley Bay for Newcastle Racecourse, Sunnydale for Market Rasen Racecourse in Lincolnshire and in Scotland, Sandylands for Ayr Racecourse.

In time for a racing fixture at Beverley Racecourse on 26 June, a four night midweek break staying at Withernsea Sands, Withernsea, Yorkshire, arriving on 25 June starts from £125. Prices are based on Bronze two-bedroom self-catering caravan accommodation sleeping up to six people.
