Join restauranteur, tv chef and cookery writer Prue Leith on a culinary journey through Vietnam. Greenbee Specialist Travel is offering a special culinary tour of Vietnam this November, accompanied by Prue Leith.A Culinary Journey Through Vietnam will explore the fascinating cities of Hanoi and Saigon, the magnificent landscapes of Ha Long Bay, the historic pearls of Hue and Hoi An, and the Mekong Delta, Vietnam’s southern rice basket.
The tour runs from 4 – 15 November 2007 and costs £2,715 per person, including return flights, 10 nights’ twin share accommodation with breakfast plus seven lunches and five dinners, guided excursions and transfers.
Prue Leith is famous for her far-reaching impact on cookery in Britain, both inside and outside the home. In 1969 she opened the Michelin-starred ‘Leith’s’ Restaurant which was followed in 1975 by the opening of the prestigious ‘Leith’s School of Food & Wine’. As well as writing the kitchen bookshelf staple Leith’s Cookery Bible, she has also published three novels.
Visit fresh food markets in Hanoi, Hué and Saigon to buy and sample fresh local ingredients; take part in private cooking classes with experienced local chefs; and dine in some of the country’s finest restaurants, whilst discovering the variations in ingredients and cooking methods between northern, central and southern Vietnam. During the tour, Prue will interact with the group throughout the practical demonstrations, passing on her culinary advice jointly with the expert Vietnamese chefs.
