lastminute.com has noticed a strong increase in the number of bookings to Greece due to sweltering heat. For the first time in twelve months, Greece has overtaken Egypt as top selling destination.

“Brits are desperate to escape” says John Bevan, Managing Director of lastminute.com in the UK. “We have witnessed an increase in traffic of 12% week on week and an increase in holiday bookings of up to 15% over the last few days”
