Join DFDS Seaways’ car tour to Gatebil in Norway

This September, DFDS Seaways is offering you the opportunity of a lifetime - to experience picturesque Norway as part of a car tour, on route to the famous Gatebil event.

Setting sail from Newcastle upon Tyne on the 4th September the car tour offers two options, providing drivers with the opportunity to either enjoy the full Gatebil experience, or tour for longer around Norway before joining Gatebil for one day.

The World famous Gatebil extravaganza takes place every year at the Rudskogen race track in Rakkestad, Norway.

Experience the thrill of this high octane rally with jaw dropping cars, extreme driving, and a party atmosphere. You can even take part yourself. Spend your days trackside enjoying the cars, and nights listening to live bands.

As part of the DFDS Seaways tour to Gatebil the experience is truly VIP, with special entry, dedicated viewing area on the site, personalised t-shirts and the opportunity to meet the drivers.

All participants begin the tour in Newcastle boarding the DFDS Seaways cruise ferry m.s. Queen of Scandinavia, where you simply check in, sit back, relax and enjoy the cruise to Norway. Onboard you can catch a film in the cinema, take a dip in the swimming pool, do a spot of shopping, or check out the numerous bars and restaurants. Later in the evening you can even head to the nightclub or watch the live entertainment from the dance troop or resident band.

Once you arrive in Norway the tour really begins, with all participants touring together to the first night in Kristiansand where the tours separate. The Gatebil Experience tour continues straight to Rudskogen for three nights’ camping at the show, whilst the Touring Norway option continues up in to the Telemark region and on towards Oslo before meeting the other tour for a day at Gatebil. The tours then once again combine as they return via Kristiansand for the cruise back from Stavanger.
