Downe Cottages If you have not yet booked your summer holiday and are looking for an idyllic setting for your UK break then you are in luck. Downe, a collection of eight luxurious self catering cottages with adjoining spa in North Devon, still has one and two bedroom cottages available during the school summer holidays.

A week in a one bedroom cottage costs £740 and a week in a two bedroom costs from £1045.

Downe is on the Hartland Peninsula in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty with glorious sea views looking out to Lundy Island and the Atlantic.

Downe cottages offer spacious living and dining areas and feature 21” televisions with video and dvd players. They have fully equipped kitchens with everything you have at home including a fan assisted oven and ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, washing machine and microwave. Also provided is a supply of cleaning materials such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and washing powder and kitchen essentials such as salt and pepper, cling film and tin foil.

Personalised service and a keen attention to detail are what are on offer at Downe and this includes meals delivered direct to your cottage. Continental and English breakfast baskets are offered for £6 per person and two (£17 per person) and three (£21 per person) course gourmet meals can be pre-ordered and delivered any or every evening of your stay.

Adjoining the cottages and sharing the overall tranquillity of the site is the Downe Health Spa. The spa has four treatment rooms, a spa, sauna, steam room, gym, relaxation and dining areas and offers a wide range of beauty treatments and holistic therapies.
