Families pitch up for city breaks with a difference

14th August 2007 Print
Florence If thoughts of tired, grouchy children and steep hotel prices are putting you off taking a family city break, think again as Keycamp has the perfect option – slicker camping; an easier, more family friendly way of mini-breaking that combines city slicking culture and excitement with the fun of the campsite lifestyle.

With fifteen of its European campsites within easy reach of major European cities such as Paris, Venice and Amsterdam, families can enjoy the sights before returning back to the campsite where kids have the freedom to let off steam with some first rate facilities such as swimming pool complexes, play areas and sports – a far cry from the stuffiness of a city centre hotel.

Three nights in the glorious holiday village of Norcenni Girasole, just thirty miles from Florence, will cost £225 for a family of up to two adults and four children staying in a Supernova mobile home, accommodation only.

Set in the heart of the Chianti wine region, the site is perfectly placed to explore Florence and the wonderful countryside surrounding it. A shuttle bus runs direct to the city centre, and when you’ve tired of all the sights, you can sit back and enjoy what the site has to offer, including a pool complex with lazy river and waterslides, health spa, play areas and sports like volleyball, 5 a side football and tennis.

Fly-drive packages and linen hire are available at a supplement.

To book, visit Keycamp.co.uk.
