Enjoy an African adventure of a lifetime

The ten-night ‘Big Five Destinations Flying Safari’ covers the legendary highlights of Southern Africa including Etosha National Park and Sossusvlei in Namibia, the Victoria Falls in Zambia, Chobe National Park in Botswana and the cosmopolitan city of Cape Town in South Africa.

Once-in-a-lifetime experiences include a visit to see the sun rise over the towering sand dunes of the renowned Sossusvlei, a sunset cruise down the Chobe River and a border crossing to Zambia across the mighty Zambezi River to Victoria Falls.

The ‘Big Five Destinations Flying Safari’ itinerary includes:

Days 1 & 2
Depart by plane from Windhoek, Namibia and fly over the mountainous Khomas Hochland, the rugged Naukluft mountain range and the vast grass plains of the Namib Desert to Sossusvlei Lodge. The lodge is situated at the entrance to the towering sand dunes of the renowned Sossusvlei and offers an excellent base for two nights, which includes a land-based sunrise safari excursion.

Days 3 & 4
A 2-hour flight over the mountain ranges of central Namibia culminates at Mushara Lodge on the northern boundary of the Etosha National Park. Here, enjoy a guided trip in a semi-open vehicle, taking in one of Southern Africa's finest and most important game reserves. The game viewing is excellent and visitors can expect to see many buck species, elephant, giraffe, rhino and lions.

Days 5 & 6
Take a 2½ hour flight to Botswana and transfer to the Chobe Game Reserve. This grande dame of lodges has housed many celebrities and even catered for the wedding of Liz Taylor and Richard Burton. It majestically overlooks the grand Chobe River and the vast flood plains with its abundance of game and birds. An afternoon and sunset boat cruise plus early morning game drive offers unforgettable game viewing experiences.

Days 7 & 8
The onward journey to Zambia includes a boat crossing over the mighty Zambezi River. The accommodation for two nights is at the luxurious five-star Royal Livingstone Hotel, which is located directly on the banks of the Zambezi and just a stone’s throw from Victoria Falls.

Days 9 & 10
Take a flight to Cape Town, with accommodation for two nights at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront Hotel which is located at the foot of the famous Table Mountain. Enjoy the colourful events, shopping experience and restaurants of the Waterfront and optional excursions and activities that are available.

Day 11
Depart Cape Town Airport for the return flight on Air Namibia to London.

NB: Optional excursions and activities are available at each destination. An eight-night safari, ending in Windhoek is also available.
