The Rancho Cortez is in the Texas Hill Country within one hour’s drive of San Antonio home of the River Walk and the Alamo, conveniently located near to Bandera (the self-styled Cowboy Capital of the World). At the Rancho Cortez the emphasis is on quality horseback riding and excellent accommodation. The ranch has some of the best trail riding in Texas, three and a half to four hours daily either on the ranch property or in the five thousand acre Hill Country State National Area. Hone your riding skills in the riding arena.

Other facilities on offer are an outdoor pool, Jacuzzi, pool table, horseshoes, TV lounge with a well stocked video library, cookouts and hayrides. A trick roper will entertain at least one night during the stay. Southwestern style decorated accommodation is provided in either cabins or the main lodge and guests can be assured of hearty Texas style home cooking with wine served at dinner.
