The snow is already falling on Whistler

15th October 2007 Print
The snow is already falling on Whistler Following on from the awesome snow conditions of Winter 2006/2007, the snow has already started to fall in Canada, as a prelude to Winter 2007/2008. Last year's mega-snow-rich resort, Whistler, already has half a metre of snow on its peaks and Panorama, which plays host to World Cup Ladies Giant Slalom and Slalom events on the 24th & 25th November, is also enjoying some early snowfall.

Another of the gems of British Columbia, Sun Peaks, has around 50cm of the white stuff up top and already has its groomers out preparing for the visit of the Austrian National Ski Team in early November.

Further North, Kicking Horse is wearing a white saddle and over in the Alberta Rockies, Jasper has had 30cm at mid-mountain, with more up top.

With many of the resorts scheduled to open to the public in around six weeks time, this early snowfall is the ideal foundation for another great season in the Canadian mountains.

Frontier Ski are specialists in holidays to Canada and offer these resorts and many more. Visit Frontier-ski.co.uk for further details.
