Burn calories and raise money during your holiday A holiday on a beautiful sunny sub tropical island that burns off some of the excesses of Christmas and raises money for Macmillan Cancer Support – sound too good to be true? It’s not!

Independent tour operator, Prestige Holidays, is offering a seven night Bermuda Marathon package departing on 17th January 2008 from just £1014 per person and will donate £12.50 to Macmillan Cancer for every person booked. An additional £12.50 is being given by the Bermuda Department of Tourism. For bookings and further information, visit Prestigeholidays.co.uk.

The package comprises: return flights to Bermuda (where temperatures average a balmy 68F in January) from London Gatwick with British Airways, a week’s stay at the luxurious Fairmont Southampton hotel, breakfast on three days, private airport taxi transfers, the race reception and a pre-race pasta party dinner.

Bermuda’s annual marathon takes place on 20th January and is part of the island’s International Race Weekend that runs from 18-20 January. Marathon entry costs $70 before 10 January 2008 and $75 up to 19 January 2008.

For $125 runners can complete the Bermuda Triangle Challenge which offers the chance to participate in the marathon and two other events: the KPMG Open Mile and the 10K Run/Walk. For further information on International Race Weekend and to enter for any of the races online consult Bermudaraceweekend.com/home.htm.

Bermuda is just under seven hours flight from London and comprises 150 small islands just 21 miles long.

In addition to stunning pink sand beaches and crystal blue waters, it offers a wide range of water sports, horseback riding, eight testing and different golf courses, a selection of excellent restaurants and a choice of national trust homes and museums to visit. Also in January and February the island holds its annual Bermuda festival offering seven weeks varied entertainment.

Prestige Holidays has supported Macmillan Cancer Support for 9 years and currently donates £1 for every client booked to all of its destinations. The tour operator has already raised £123,800 for the charity.
