Prestige Holidays adds Italy for summer 2008

Luxury independent operator, Prestige Holidays, is featuring Lake Garda in Italy for the first time in summer 2008 and has also added properties in Morocco, Cyprus, Southern Spain and the Algarve.

Prestige Holidays is offering seven hotels in the resorts of Gardone Riviera, Salo and Sirmione. In Gardone Riviera, the operator is featuring the Grand Hotel Gardone Riviera; an elegant hotel built in 1884 with a wonderful location directly on the lake and Gardone’s Villa Capri; a small lakeside hotel set in quiet parkland.

Also in Gardone is the Grand Hotel Fasano, a former hunting lodge of the Austrian Imperial family on the west side of the lake offering very high levels of service and a beautiful spa and the romantic Villa Del Sogno set in beautiful sloping parkland with panoramic views of the lake and close to the restaurants of the Gardone Riviera.

Just outside the beautiful small town of Salo, Villa Arcadio is a real find and exclusive to Prestige Holidays. The property, a former monastery, has just 18 rooms and stands in 20 acres of grounds offering stunning views over the lake.

Also in Salo is the Laurin. Built in the 1900s this hotel is a treasure trove of Art Nouveau architecture, decoration and furniture. The Palace Hotel Villa Cortine in Sirmione completes the collection. The property is in an enviable location on top of a small hill in the heart of the Peninsula of Sirmione and sits in five hectares of superbly maintained parkland that descends to the shores of Lake Garda.

Packages in Italy lead in at £589 at Grand Hotel Gardone Riviera including scheduled return flights with British Airways from London Gatwick to Verona, private taxi transfers and seven nights BB accommodation in a twin room with lake views.

Prestige has added hotels and resorts to its Morocco programme. In Marrakech Es Saadi Gardens & Resort is new. The Es Saadi Palace is the sister property to the Es Saadi hotel which Prestige has featured for many years and offers 92 uniquely decorated suites sumptuously furnished in traditional Moroccan style.

Another addition is the 11 roomed La Sultana Oualidia hotel on the Atlantic Coast close to the resort of Oualidia. Both the resort and location are ideal for those who really want to retreat from the outside world. Also new in Morocco is Le Mirage near Tangier. This intimate low rise hotel overlooks a seemingly endless sandy beach and offers an excellent restaurant.

New in Cyprus is the three star Columbia Beachotel in Pissouri, the sister property to the five star Columbia Beach Resort already hugely popular with Prestige’s clients. Packages here start from £704 including one free night, return flights from Gatwick, private transfers and seven nights BB accommodation.

In Southern Spain, Prestige Holidays has added Don Carlos Leisure Resort and Spa near Marbella giving it 6 properties in this region. The 236 roomed property offers an excellent range of facilities including a tennis academy, spa, a choice of restaurants and two swimming pools and is ideal for families. Packages lead in at £676 per person for a seven night stay on BB with return flights from Gatwick and private taxi transfers.

The Monte do Casal hotel near Estoi will appeal to holidaymakers seeking the “real” Algarve. This hotel offers just 18 rooms, superb cuisine, two swimming pools and spa facilities and is a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World. A week’s stay leads in at £812 per person including return flights from London Gatwick, a group B hire car and BB accommodation.
