Prices lead in at £675 per person for the 8-day Malta Winter Sunshine tour, whose highlights include visits to the historic capital of Valletta and the walled city of Mdina, with plenty of free time to explore the island at leisure. The largest range of holidays in any one country is to be found in Italy, which is Titan’s best-selling European destination. No visit to this fascinating country would be complete without taking in some of its legendary cities, with possibly the most beautiful of them all being included in the 10-day Treasures of Italy itinerary (from £1,175 per person), which covers Venice, Bologna, Pisa, Florence and Rome alongside the lesser-known gems of Orvieto and Assisi.
Equally unmissable are northern Italy’s famous lakes – Maggiore, Garda and Como – which can all be discovered on the Italian Lakes and Mountains tour (nine days from £1,125 per person), whilst over on the Adriatic coast, the little-known and very traditional region of Puglia can be explored on the 8-day Heel of Italy tour from £975 per person.
Elsewhere in Europe – and new for 2008 – is the 10-day Transylvanian Tales and Romanian Romance tour, which combines this former Eastern Bloc country’s stunning natural heritage with the dramatic castles and traditional folklore of Transylvania.
Starting in Bucharest with a visit to the world’s second largest building – the enormous Parliament Palace, built by the infamous dictator Nicolae Ceacescu – the tour continues to Manole Monastery for lunch with the Archbishop before travelling on to Transylvania and the 2007 European Cultural Capital, Sibiu, by way of the Carpathian Mountains.
With departures in May, June, July and September, the tour costs from £1,195 per person (to include flights, transfers, accommodation, some meals, most excursions and the VIP Home Departure Service).
Also new for this year is Fjords, Glaciers and the North Cape itinerary, a 13-day journey on the high seas from Southampton to the northernmost tip of Norway. This wonderful cruise aboard the Norwegian Jade takes in the majestic splendour of a coastline bathed in the perpetual daylight of midsummer.
Departing on 29th June, the cruise costs from £1,495 per person to include full-board accommodation, some shore excursions and the VIP Home Departure Service. Other exciting Cruise & Tour options include a 13-day Canary Island Cruise to Lisbon, Madeira, Gran Canaria, Tenerife and La Gomera (from £1,195 per person) and the 13-day Scandinavian Highlights voyage to Copenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki, Tallinn and St Petersburg (from £1,395 per person).

With departures throughout the winter months, the 8-day Jordan with Ancient Petra tour (from £1,175 per person) takes in some of the country’s most fascinating archaeological treasures, including the Roman theatre in Amman, the beautifully preserved Greco-Roman city of Jerash and the spectacular and iconic monuments of Petra, before winding down with a relaxing few days at the Red Sea resort of Aqaba.
The Egypt Treasures & Pleasures itinerary (12 days from £1,595 per person) combines the best of Egypt’s many ancient jewels including pyramids, temples and tombs with a peaceful cruise on the Nile, whilst elsewhere in North Africa the Moroccan Mystique tour encounters fascinating cities, towering desert dunes and a vibrant, captivating culture (10 days from £1,375 per person).
