Keycamp Holidays go stateside Fancy getting a real taste of Florida this summer? Then look no further as, for the first time in its 31 year history, camping specialist Keycamp is spreading its wings beyond Europe with the launch of four excellent campsites in the ‘Sunshine State’.

With the camping sites spread throughout Florida, you can take in just one element of the state or mix and match to experience all this magical destination has to offer. So enjoy the excitement and thrills of Disney World, then explore that bit further and discover the awe-inspiring beauty of the Everglades, the individuality of the Keys and the beach beautiful lifestyle of the Gulf of Mexico.

Set in the heart of Orlando, the campsite at Kissimmee is just minutes from attractions such as Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, MGM Studios and Epcot. Offering swimming pool, cycle hire and basketball on site, all-action activities, such as helicopter rides, championship golf courses and air boats, can also be found just on the doorstep.

Meanwhile, for something a little more restful, why not consider St Petersburg on the Gulf Coast. Only a short distance from Fort Desoto and Caladesi beaches, which are constantly ranked in the US Top 10, this site is set along a mangrove-lined bayou, perfect for canoeing and enjoying the local wildlife.

Also great for nature lovers, is the site at Naples near The Everglades. Located in the Rookery Bay Research Reserve, it’s the perfect base from which to see the watery wilderness with all its wonderful birds and creatures. It also offers swimming pool, fishing, canoe and cycle hire on site.

Finally, to sample the exotic Florida Keys, there’s the beachside site at Sugarloaf Key. Providing a host of on-site facilities such as swimming pool, marina and eco-tours, it is also the ideal location from which to explore the cultural melting pot that is Key West – once the home to pirates, treasure-hunters and novelists such as Ernest Hemmingway.

The well-equipped holiday accommodation at the sites ranges from USA style mobile homes complete with Jacuzzis, through to comfortable Kabins and lodges with lofts.

Prices per party per night start at £44 for kabin accommodation, including car hire charges. And to make booking your holiday even easier, Keycamp is also able to arrange flights and discounted entrance to various attractions.

In another exciting departure, customers can opt to take to the open road with a motor home holiday. Providing all home-comforts including a lounge area, cooking and refrigeration facilities, toilets and showers, the deluxe RVs start at £103 per night and allow families the ultimate freedom to explore Florida at their own pace.
