New website is first port of call for cruise holidays
The first of a new generation of UK cruise websites has been launched by cruise and boating holiday online specialists Blue Water Holidays. It features live availability data from the major cruise lines' central database, giving an online choice of cruises and showing the available cabins with their location on the ship. The comprehensive website at Cruisesonline.co.uk also provides guides to the cruise lines, with independent reviews from the Berlitz guide to cruising and its ship ratings. It includes port and destination guides with virtual cruises using Google Earth and live webcam feeds from ships and ports worldwide.
"Cruises Online complements our widely praised Cruising Holidays website, a leading source of small ship cruise holidays including river cruises, adventure cruises and all types of holidays afloat" said Barry Peters, Blue Water Holidays Managing Director.
"We have had online availability of boating holidays for some years, but have been waiting for similar live data from the major cruise lines. Now working with Amadeus Cruise and its US associates we have been able to tap into the central cruise database and provide real-time cruise and cabin availability with UK pricing and discounts". Using its own in-house team of web programmers Blue Water Holidays has been able to integrate the data into live search results, pinpointing available cabins on ship deck plans.
"Currently we offer live data for 9 major cruise lines including P&O, Princess, Cunard, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Line, with more available soon" added Barry Peters.
Based on the company's 10-year online experience, he expected that many people would use the website to find available cabins and then contact Blue Water Holidays for independent advice on the most suitable choice. The option of instant online booking would be offered in the near future.
