Pester power – Thumbs up for Haven Haven are noticing an increase in the number of holidaymakers who say their holiday choice is influenced by their children. With more kids surfing the net Haven have even included a section on their website especially aimed at youngsters with competitions and games.

Today's kids definitely want to have a say in the family holiday choice and are looking for holidays with plenty for them to do.

Do your kids influence your holiday making decision?

Pester power plays a big factor when it comes to purchases and holidays are no exception but let’s face it, if the kids are happy, Mums and Dads can relax too.

Sean Power, Head of the Haven Holidays Call Centre says, “Many of our holidaymakers cite their children wishes when it comes to choosing a holiday park. If the park offers an extra activity such as the climbing activity centre at Hafan y Mor or the horse-riding at Haggerston Castle it will often be the children who have pushed for that destination. And the parks with bigger swimming pools such as Craig Tara are very attractive to kids too.”

This summer Haven Holidays are offering a wide choice of activities that will involve both parents and kids.

The new ‘Kid’s Alive’ programme starts the day with ‘Wake and Shake’, fun fitness sessions with space hoppers, skipping ropes, mini-trampolines, reaction balls and music. ‘It’s designed to get people up and moving and is fun rather than serious,’ say Haven, ‘but it’s all part of a policy of encouraging children to get active and start enjoying exercise.’

Other options include Coke FC Football Coaching sessions, family tennis or mini tennis, fencing, archery, golf, climbing or pilates – facilities vary from park to park so it’s worth checking the website or the brochure to see which activities are available where.

All 35 Haven parks have heated swimming pools and offer ‘SplashZone’ activities including Inflatable sessions, Surf Rider, AquaJets and AquaGliders – as well as Aquacise, when all the family can tone up in the pool.

And with some excellent price deals available Haven will be a popular choice for your bank balance as well with some tempting discounts during the Easter holidays.

You can save almost half the cost of three night break at Hafan y Mor on April 4th with a standard 2 bedroom self-catering holiday home available from just £149 for a family of four. A week at Haggerston Castle from the same date in similar accommodation starts at £239.
