Take a journey on the Arctic Circle Express

The ‘Arctic Circle Express’ itinerary – which is available with a limited choice of departure dates between 9 May and 31 August – provides a startling different perspective of Scandinavia. Travel on-board a sleeper train across northern Sweden in almost perpetual daylight, through a remote wilderness of lakes and forests before crossing the Arctic Circle. The journey continues south passing dramatic fjords and towering mountains which combine to create the awe-inspiring Norwegian coastline.

Highlights of this incredible itinerary include:

• A journey on the Ofoten Railway – one of the most northerly lines in the world – past sheer drops down to fjords and the impressive surrounding mountains.

• An excursion on the Flåm Railway up into the mountains along one of the steepest lines in the world to Myrdal.

• A journey on the Bergen Railway across some of the remotest areas of western Norway before descending to Oslo.

• A cruise along the spectacular Geiranger Fjord.

The holiday also includes sightseeing tours of Stockholm and Trondheim (Norway’s religious capital), a guided tour of Kiruna followed by a visit to the village of Jukkasjarvi to experience Lapp life, coach journeys through fantastic fjord regions, plus free time in Narvik and Bergen.
