Siberian loco

The Great Rail Journeys Trans-Siberian adventure has traditionally commenced with a rail journey from London to Moscow - where passengers board a private charter train for a journey across Russia to Vladivostok on the shore of the Sea of Japan.
This new 15-day holiday departs on Sunday 4th May 2008 from London Heathrow to Moscow – where passengers will meet fellow travellers who have chosen to make the journey by rail.
The itinerary will offer more people the chance to embark upon the ultimate rail journey, whilst providing customers with the opportunity to reduce the travel time to Russia if they should wish.
Highlights of the tour include twelve days on-board the luxurious Golden Eagle Trans-Siberian Express, sightseeing in Moscow, a tour of Novosibirsk - the capital of Siberia, and seeing the classic wooden architecture of Irkutsk – one of Siberia’s oldest cities. We also enjoy a barbeque on the shores of Lake Baikal and a day in the Mongolian capital, Ulaanbaatar.
Offering the best quality of rail travel anywhere in the world, the new Golden Eagle Trans-Siberian Express features a choice of Silver or Gold Class en suite cabins - both with a wealth of amenities such as DVD/CD Players, LCD screens, audio systems and individual air-conditioning. The train also features elegant restaurant cars and a sociable bar car operated by a team dedicated to ensuring that Great Rail Journeys customers receive the highest levels of service.
The cost is £6,195 for Silver Class and £7,495 for Gold Class. This includes outward flight from London Heathrow to Moscow and return flight from Vladivostok to London (via Moscow), rail travel and 14 nights accommodation (12 on-board the Golden Eagle Trans-Siberian Express, two in hotels). All meals are also included on-board the Trans-Siberian Express. Wine and soft drinks are included with meals for Silver Class guests. Most drinks are included at the bar for Gold Class customers.
Prices quoted are per person, twin-share and also include all excursions as per itinerary, transfers, luggage handling and the services of a Tour Manager throughout.
