Long established walking specialist operator, Ramblers Worldwide Holidays, is launching its first dedicated Family Holidays brochure - entitled Ramblers Family Adventure Holidays - this month.

This new programme has been carefully researched and created to appeal to families who want to share a whole range of experiences and activities at a leisurely pace in some of the world’s most exciting and magical places.

These holidays offer a great opportunity for families to make new friends, soak up the history, culture and cuisine of new countries whilst benefiting from healthy, environmentally friendly walks. One might even learn another language en route!

Our base is on the edge of the rugged Sierra Nevada National Park in the mountain spa village of Lanjaron. From here, my family and I can enjoy many and varied delights including hiking in the Alpujarras; visits to Granada; the Alhambra; the Parque de las Ciencias (with its planetarium, tropical butterfly house and astronomy garden) and the Cueva de las Ventenas (with its stalagmites, stalactites and gullies).
