The early bird catches the deal

The early bird catches the deal If you’re planning to get away to the Costa del Sol this summer, there’s no better time to catch a great deal on accommodation in Spain than right now. The earlier you book, the better your chances before prices start to soar as the holiday season approaches. Go2Spain, an online resource for year round bargains on hotels in Spain has an ever expanding selection of cheap Costa del Sol hotels and is the best site to go to find the perfect holiday retreat.

Often considered as too touristy, many overlook the Costa del Sol in their quest to experience the real Spain. But nestled right next to the Sierra Almijara mountain range and just a 30 minute drive from Malaga airport, is the pretty coastal resort of Nerja, which has remained relatively unchanged.

The ubiquitous Spanish village, its narrow winding streets and traditional whitewashed houses sit atop wonderful views amidst the fragrant Andalucian countryside. There is plenty of Spanish-style accommodation on offer, all the better to enjoy the glorious sandy beaches and a mixture of Baroque and Moorish architecture.

Nerja also offers a full range of water sports from water skiing through to sailing and scuba diving, as well as fabulous cafes and restaurants to wile away sultry summer nights.

Located right in the centre of Nerja town, the Hotel Jimesol, one of the many Costa del Sol hotels listed on Go2Spain, is a family run business with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Close to all amenities, it is also just a short stroll from the nearest beach making it an ideal choice for a stay in this unspoilt jewel in the Costa crown. Rooms are air-conditioned with balconies and there is a buffet restaurant and café if you decide to stay in for dinner.

For those that want to make the most of the Spanish sun the rooftop pool with terraces, sun loungers and parasols is ideal. A stay at the Hotel Jimesol based on 2 people sharing half-board in mid-August starts at £220 per person per week.

For those that crave more action and excitement, Torremolinos, one of the first fishing villages back in the sixties to be turned into a package holiday Mecca, is a popular choice.

Once a poor relation to the more stylish resorts of Marbella and Puerto Banus, this coastal town has reinvented itself in the last few years with clean sandy beaches, wonderful fish restaurants, unparalleled nightlife and an upbeat cosmopolitan vibe.

Found on Go2Spain, the Ecuador Park aparthotel is a great place to stay for a week of un-adulterated fun on the Costa del Sol. Situated in the tourist centre of Torremolinos and just 50 metres from the beach, the accommodation is a mixture of traditional Spanish holiday apartments with a kitchenette, living room and sleeping arrangements for either 2 or 4 people. With its own pool, the Ecuador Park based on 4 people sharing in mid-August, costs from around £142 per person per week.

Whatever your budget, Go2Spain can help you find the Costa del Sol Hotel that’s right for you at any time of the year. For more info go to Go2Spain.co.uk.
