Adventure tour operator goes global

8th April 2008 Print
After 21 years known primarily as an adventure travel specialist in Latin America, Tucan Travel is broadening its horizons around the world. With more than 300 group tours and independent packages, to 63 countries, on five amazing continents, Tucan Travel now offer any traveller the adventure of a lifetime, worldwide.

And with more tour information and a powerful availability search function on the new website, it will be quicker and easier for agents to find clients the adventure holiday of a lifetime.

So what’s going to change?
Group tours in Russia & Asia and the Middle East & North Africa have become Adventure Tours, and are no longer restricted to the 18-35 Budget Expeditions market. This means a wider age-range of clients will be able to participate and will benefit from additional included excursions.

And what’s going to stay the same?
Tours in the Budget Expeditions travel style will still operate in Europe, East & Southern Africa and South America, offering great value tours to the 18-35 market. All other Tucan Travel tours will run as usual.

Managing director Matt Gannan said the brand merger was part of a long-term strategy and would be of benefit to the company, agents and clients alike. “Our expansion plans to date have been about creating the right product and providing the best possible service, which we’ve achieved.

“This brand merger is part of our long-term strategy to increase the range of product available to our customers and will also result in more jobs created in the company worldwide. This has been a long term goal carefully planned over many years.

“Our partner travel agents have embraced the brand merger and are looking forward to selling our worldwide destinations. With more product available from an operator they know and trust, they are in a win-win situation and many agents have expressed this to us. We are confident that many of our repeat customers will be seen on our trips worldwide in the coming years and will enjoy the same superb quality and service,” he said.
