Next week, BBC2 launch their new six-part documentary series Wild China, co-produced by the BBC Natural History Unit and China Central Television (CCTV), the first time that CCTV has collaborated with a foreign company. The production team were granted unprecedented access to remote parts of China, enabling them to film and document the country's diverse wildlife and wild landscapes more comprehensively than ever before.

For a chance to see China’s wildlife and stunning landscapes first-hand, Wildlife Worldwide’s luxurious 9-day Rivers, Gorges & Pandas tour includes a 5-star river boat cruise on the Yangtze River, spectacular gorges and the Giant Pandas of Wolong Wildlife Reserve. The tour departs daily from London throughout 2008.

On arrival in China, transfer to the middle reaches of the Yangtze River where a 5-star Yangtze river boat awaits. The next 4-nights are spent cruising through the spectacular and remote Three Gorges region. Journey through the towering Xiling Gorge and enjoy a shore excursion to view the Three Gorges Dam then disembark for a traditional wooden boat tour up the Shennong Stream, observing the numerous birds and monkeys that live amongst the cracks in vertical rock faces.

Continue upstream and sail through the Wu and Qutang gorges. During the cruise, choose from various presentations and demonstrations on Chinese culture, nature and history, or simply relax on deck watching the scenery, towns and villages pass by. Arrive into the city of Chongqing early morning and fly to Chengdu where a 4-star hotel provides a base for 1-night. Next day, drive to Wolong Nature Reserve, an International Biosphere Reserve, home to Giant Panda, Golden Monkey, Golden Langur, Muntjac Deer and Snow Leopard.

Here, spend 2-nights at Panda Inn, for visits to Giant Panda enclosures and the ecology museum before returning to Shanghai via Chengdu for homeward flights.

Tours cost from £2,095 p/p (now until 20th July) including scheduled flights from London to Shanghai, transfers, hotel and Yangtze river boat accommodation, most meals and expertly guided activities.
