In addition to a valid DEFRA approved veterinary certificate showing that pets have been micro chipped, vaccinated and blood tested for antibodies to rabies, owners need to provide a pet passport. Also needed is a valid DEFRA approved certificate showing the pet has been treated against ticks and tapeworm not less than 24 hours, and not more than 48 hours, prior check-in for your return to the UK.
