Walk Italy in comfort - And to budget
World Walks Ltd, a walking holidays specialist, is responding to current worries about the economy by offering budget versions of its holidays to some destinations. First on the list is Umbria in Italy.Ann Knowles, of World Walks, says: “Italy has become a very expensive destination, especially for Britons who are experiencing not just the credit crunch but also increased travelling costs caused by the rising Euro and falling Pound.”
The holiday is a flexible, independent, self-guided walking holiday. It can start on the customer’s chosen date, and three nights are spent in the historic town of Assisi and three in the beautiful medieval town of Spoleto. World Walk’s Umbrian colleague will meet the walkers on the evening they arrive, and hand over the walking route notes and maps along with everything else needed for the holiday.
Ann Knowles continues: “World Walks has a reputation for the quality of its holidays, which we didn’t want to compromise in reducing the cost. So, instead, we’ve adapted the itinerary to reduce the price without sacrificing anything that makes the holiday special.”
Included in the holiday are: six nights accommodation in well-located hotels with private facilities, six breakfasts, two dinners, comprehensive walking notes and maps (moderate walking with easier options), luggage transfer between the two centres, train tickets for use on two walking days, and local logistical back-up – all for £365 per person based on two people sharing a twin/double room.
