17th July 2008 Print
This year the largest group of independently owned hotels is celebrating its 30th birthday - and what better way to celebrate than with the recruitment of three hotels into the Best Western portfolio.

With these three new additions, the Best Western Cutlers Hotel, Best Western Royal Kings Arms Hotel and Best Western Leicester North Hotel, the total number of properties joining the brand this year is six - raising the total number of hotels within the portfolio to 285!

Keith Pope, Director of Membership, Best Western said: “This year we have seen an increase in the quality and standards set by the brand, which means that hotels have to work harder than ever to ensure they meet the mark. As such, we are pleased to be welcoming these three new properties into the group – all of which have distinctive qualities and certainly hit the quality mark.”

The new additions to the group are as follows;

Best Western Cutlers Hotel, Sheffield

Following a major refurbishment of its bedrooms, Sheffield city centre based hotel, The Cutlers, has joined Britain’s largest group of independently owned and managed hotels to become the Best Western Cutlers Hotel.

This three star hotel has a total of 45 ensuite bedrooms, all benefiting from an extensive refurbishment programme, including the installation of modern and comfortable facilities. It is complete with its own bar and restaurant, perfect for leisure guests. However, it’s not just those looking for a relaxing time in the city that will be easily pleased as the hotel is ideal for corporate guests with conference facilities for up to 80 people.

As the name would suggest, the hotel is located north of Leicester on the A46 15 minutes from junction 21a of the M1 and only 10 miles from Nottingham. With 75 en suite bedrooms this AA three star property benefits from being fully non smoking and encompassing a restaurant and bar. A total of five conference rooms also make this an ideal choice for corporate bookers with capacity for up to 500 delegates.

Best Western Royal Kings Arms, Lancaster

Nestled in the shadow of the Castle is one of Lancaster’s most central city centre hotels, Best Western Royal Kings Arms Hotel – the newest addition to Britain’s largest group of independently owned and managed hotels, Best Western.
