Beating increasingly bleak travel industry reports about the credit crunch, Blue Water Holidays, the online cruise specialists, are reaping the rewards of the last seven years’ hard work developing their niche cruise expertise. Since their launch in 2001, Blue Water Holidays have developed their in-depth specialist cruise and customer knowledge in this highly complex market to become one of the principal agents for several leading cruise operators. Recently awarded the Bales Worldwide Platinum Agent of the Quarter Award, Blue Water Holidays have also been receiving accolades from other cruise operators.

Norwegian coastal cruise experts Hurtigruten congratulated Blue Water Holidays on a 28% increase in passengers booked for 2008 so far. UK and Ireland Sales Manager Maxine Dunsdon comments, “Blue Water Holidays have become one of our key trade partners and are a pleasure to work with. Their current success is a tribute to their dedication and hard work over the years”.

Celebrating a 79% revenue increase from Blue Water Holidays bookings for 2008, Ian Mairs, National Sales Manager for Viking River Cruises says, “We have been working with Blue Water Holidays for some time. They are highly active and very professional in everything they do and for this reason, they have become one of our most productive agents”.

Announcing an overall increase of 36.5% for specialist cruise bookings, delighted Blue Water Holidays Managing Director Barry Peters attributes this to the team’s knowledge and understanding of the specialist cruise market, plus the continual development of new features on the Cruisingholidays.co.uk website.

“A key ingredient in Blue Water's success is that right from the start we've had our own in-house web designers and programmers, even our own web servers”, added Barry Peters. The website has been developed and improved along with new technological advances and includes an innovative ‘desktop cruise’, where customers can view their chosen cruise on Google Earth, plus a search where customers can choose their European river cruise by which ports they wish to visit. It also now features customer cruise reviews with photographs and videos and information from Blue Water Holidays’ niche cruise passengers.
