Italian Hideaways launches new two-night packages

Italian Hideaways launches new two-night packages Cookery holiday specialist Italian Hideaways is launching new, two-night packages that will combine sightseeing, cookery classes and wine tasting with a stay at its eco-friendly villa in Bergamo, northern Italy.

Upon its launch in June 2008, the company offered breaks of three nights and longer. These shorter weekend breaks have been designed particularly for those holidaymakers feeling the pinch of the credit crunch.

Italian Hideaways’ owner, Simona Mussio, comments: “The current economic climate means people are being careful how they spend their money, although they are reluctant to give up holidays altogether. Like a taster platter, our shorter weekend packages will allow customers to sample all the different experiences on offer, at a lower price yet without compromising on quality.”

She continues: “Another advantage for British guests is that our breaks are priced in pounds and include many elements of the trip. With the exchange rate in fluctuation, it is difficult to predict how much a holiday priced in Euros could actually end up costing, so this should make it easier to budget.”

Italian Hideaways’ two-night packages include airport transfers from Milan or Bergamo airports; double or twin share accommodation; two cookery classes led by the resident chef; a guided excursion to the local town of Bergamo; wine tasting at a local winery plus breakfasts and dinners at the eco-friendly villa.

Guests can also request a tailor-made itinerary, whereby extra excursions and activities can be arranged. Options include outings to the nearby Lakes Como, Garda, Iseo and Maggiore; Milan; hiking or horse-back riding; or even beauty or massage treatments at the villa itself.

Two-night breaks cost from £480 per person, based on a minimum of six guests.

Flights are not included, but are available to Milan or Bergamo airports with British Airways, Alitalia, AirOne, easyJet, Ryanair, Jet2 and bmibaby.
