Dome from dome - Chile in style Walks Worldwide’s new 16-day Chile in Style guided trekking holiday uncovers the huge diversity of this long and spectacular sliver of a country by combining the sparkling glaciers and iceberg-filled lakes of Torres del Paine NP with the arid vastness of the Atacama Desert.

Be amongst the first to experience the brand new Suite Domes at the unique Ecolodge in Torres del Paine NP, each comes with a low-emission wood stove, an en suite with its own composting device, and a solar panel – the very latest in sustainable innovation! London departures available weekly from November 08 to March 09.

For 2008, Walks Worldwide has combined two of Chile’s stunning regions - Torres del Paine NP in the Patagonian south and the Atacama Desert in the north – into one superb trekking holiday. Using unusual and stylish accommodation, including a unique opportunity to be one of the very first to stay in the new Suite Domes in Torres del Paine NP, guests experience this spectacular South American country from top to toe.

Commence the adventure with an overnight flight to the Chilean capital of Santiago, followed by a city tour. Spend the next two days imbibing the local liquid produce of the Maipo Valley and visiting the colonial coastal town of Valparaiso, home of the novelist Pablo Nerudo.

Fly south to Punta Arenas and travel into dramatic Torres del Paine NP in Patagonia. Enjoy a wonderful five days here, hiking to famed rock spires, past sparkling glaciers and along iceberg-filled aquamarine lakes. The eco-camp accommodation aims to provide maximum exposure to nature with the highest degree of comfort allowed by sustainable development in this fragile environment - the perfect base to enjoy the dramatic sights.

Leave the park in the most fitting way possible - on a zodiac ride past the Serrano hanging glacier and waterfalls, navigating the Serrano River to Puerto Natales. Return to Santiago and fly further north to Calama, the entrance to the arid yet mesmerising Atacama Desert. From a traditional adobe-style hotel in San Pedro de Atacama explore the salt-flats, flamingo-filled lagoons and weird, volcanic rock formations of the Valley of the Moon. A pre-dawn visit to the famous El Tatio geysers at 4,500 metres, enables travellers to round-off their visit to Chile on a real high!

The holiday costs from £3,690 p/p including flights, transfers, hotel, boutique inn, eco-camp and refuge accommodation, some meals, wine tour, zodiac trip, park fees and expert guiding.
