Release your inner explorer

16th September 2008 Print
Peregrine Adventures’ recently-launched range of flagship expedition-style tours is proving that adventurous spirit is alive and well, with several tours already sold out and limited spaces remaining on the others. Expeditions are each led by a Peregrine Destination Manager and escorted by local guides. The journeys are all spiked with an element of the unexpected, as itineraries venture into genuinely remote and rarely-visited areas of Asia and South America.

Departures include:-

Great West Asia Expedition – 20-days from Bangkok
Departing 8th November 08 – Cost £1,521 p/p

This exploratory tour is led by Becky Last, Peregrine’s Asia expert who has spent the last 11 years setting up adventure tours in over 20 Asian countries. The tour focuses on remote eastern Burma and Laos, well away from the tourist trails. This is a rare and unrivalled opportunity to gain an appreciation of the region’s enormous ethnic diversity, visiting minority villages where people may never before have encountered westerners.

Andean Horseback Expedition – 12-days from Mendoza
Departing 5th Jan 09 - Cost £1,645 p/p

Steve Mortimer, Peregrine’s Latin America manager since 2000 leads this homage to General José de San Martín – one of South America’s greatest 18th/19th century anti-colonialist heroes. Supported by a posse of Argentinean gauchos and a team of pack mules, the journey covers a variety of terrain from narrow, windswept passes, steep-sided gorges to lush, tranquil valleys. Eight of the twelve days are spent riding the trail through some of the world’s most spectacular mountainscapes including Mount Aconcagua (6962m) – the highest peak in the Americas. This expedition will suit those riders already confident in the saddle, looking for a once-in-a-lifetime Andean adventure.

Both tours include arrival transfer, transport, accommodation, some meals, Peregrine’s expert expedition leader and experienced local guides, sightseeing as per itinerary and entrance fees. Flights are not included.
