Strictly overlanding - Rio Carnival

Strictly overlanding - Rio Carnival If, like the staff at Dragoman Overland, your Saturday nights for the next umpteen weeks are going to be dominated by sequins and feathers (Strictly Come Dancing is back!), maybe it’s time go one step further and book your place at the Rio Carnival. For adventurous, outdoorsy-types with a secret penchant for spangley things, Dragoman Overland’s epic new 8-week tour from Rio de Janeiro to Santiago via Ushuaia, combined with a 5-day Rio Carnival party package, fits the bill completely!

Rio Carnival: 5-days from 20-25th February 2009.

Feathers and sequins will be flying as the exuberant Latin excesses of Rio’s Carnival grip the city. Dragoman Overland’s carnival package offers a great deal more than most of its competitors, including b&b accommodation, city tour, cable-car ride up Sugar Loaf Mountain, a ‘hot’ ticket to the Sambadrome Parade, Favela Tour and Sunset Boat Cruise on Guanabarra Bay.

Tour costs £485 p/p if booked in conjunction with another Dragoman Overland trip or £550 p/p if booked on its own.

Rio de Janeiro to Santiago: 8-weeks - departing Rio 25th February 2009.

Combine a love of the outdoors – wild white glaciers, craggy fjords, ice holes, volcano climbs, superb wildlife viewing, horse riding and mountain biking – with your more cosmopolitan urges in Rio, Buenos Aires and Santiago.

Tour costs £1,625 p/p plus kitty $1140 (~£624) including camping and hotel accommodation, transport aboard Dragoman Overland’s customised Mercedes Benz expedition truck and experienced two-person crew.

Flights are not included but are available through Dragoman Overland.
