Saga and Bond share a license to thrill

From Madagascar in Casino Royale, the Bahamas in Thunderball, Vietnam in Tomorrow Never Dies and Japan in You Only Live Twice, Saga customers are travelling more than ever to the ends of the earth.
In his latest adventure James Bond is seen fighting baddies in Chile. Saga has been operating tours in Chile for a decade and due to unprecedented demand has recently added further exciting tours to the 2009 schedule. Saga Holidays is now the UK’s largest travel company operating to Chile and last year record numbers of Saga holidaymakers visited this fascinating country.
Andrew Goodsell, chief executive, Saga Group commented: ‘It’s great to see Saga customers trend-setting – if Bond had travelled with us to Chile he would have had a ‘Quantum of fun’, rather than a ‘Quantum of solace’. With more intrepid over 50’s travelling to increasingly exotic destinations, Saga is pleased to be able to support these incredible trips by opening new, and more frequent, tours in destinations such as Chile.’
Other destinations featured in the forthcoming Quantum of Solace film, released on 31 October, 2008 include Mexico, Spain and Eastern Europe.
Saga Holidays Chilean tours start from £2,399 per person. The ‘Chile: Condors, Lakes and Mountains’ tour allows customers to trace the narrow spine of Chile discovering scenes of snow-capped volcanoes, waterfalls and placid lakes, whilst experiencing the glacial stillness of the Patagonian ice-fields and encountering wildlife such as the Andean condor, llama and rhea. There are limited places left on the two remaining tour for 2008 which start on 4th and 18th November. Tours start again in the New Year on 27th January 2009.
Prices include Saga’s hassle-free UK travel service, all breakfasts, 2 lunches and 8 dinners, Saga tour manager, insurance and cancellation cover, return scheduled flights, airport taxes, fees, charges and transfers and porterage at each hotel.
