Intimate tours of the world
The 2009-2010 Collette Worldwide brochure introduces a brand new collection of escorted tours for groups of between 16 and 24 people. Called Explorations by Collette, the smaller groups will mean that travellers can enjoy a more personalised trip with greater free time, more adventurous and energetic ‘on tour’ options and a choice of smaller, more intimate but always excellent quality hotels. With the smaller groups also comes the chance to include a range of experiences that are harder to organise for larger numbers, visits to projects funded by the Collette Foundation (see below); cellar tours of California’s famous vineyards; family farm visits in Nova Scotia.
Tours within the Explorations by Collette collection are:
• California’s Wine Country, 8 days from £1759
• New England’s Coastlines, 10 days from £1949 per person
• The Hidden Treasures of the Canadian Maritimes, 11 days from £2399 per person

The programme now covers every continent, with a choice of tours across America, Canada, South America, Asia, Africa, Australia and New Zealand and Europe. All tours include door to door transfers in the UK, flights, mainly four star accommodation, most meals and the services of an experienced Collette tour guide.
For greater flexibility, there’s also the chance to pre-book optional activities for each tour including exploring the Masai Mara by hot air balloon; visits to the Cu Chi Tunnels of Ho Chi Minh City; jungle and boat ride in Iguassu National Park, Brazil; Li River Cruise, China.
In 2007, Collette Worldwide officially launched the Collette Foundation when it pledged to donate £1 million in funding, supplies and manpower to establish and manage projects over a five year period in destinations including China, Costa Rica, Kenya, Mexico, Peru and South Africa. In 2009, the Foundation will add a number of new destinations for project sites in Tibet, India, Brazil, Canada and New England. All of the projects are funded with the intention of improving the lives of children around the world.
