Additional information regarding The Kruger National Park – established in 1899 by President Paul Kruger, this is the second oldest game park in Africa. It is the largest National Park in the world, about the size of Wales. It is home to 336 species of tree, 49 species of fish, 34 species of amphibian and 114 species of reptiles. There are over 500 species of birds such as hornbills, starlings, vultures, rollers, bee eaters and shrikes, saddle-billed stork, marshall eagle, lappet faced vulture, pel’s fishing owl and ground hornbill.
