Walking South Africa's Eastern Cape  Walking specialist operator, Ramblers Worldwide Holidays, has launched a new holiday to South Africa’s magnificent Eastern Cape. This is a 20 day, half board ‘adventure’ which embraces some of the most unspoilt destinations.

The tour begins in the Addo National Elephant Park (about an hour from Port Elizabeth) where one drives in open topped land rovers to view a wide variety of game.

Next stop is Graaff-Reinet in the Great Karoo – the base for visiting the Valley of Desolation – massive rocky pillars which dominate a King Solomon’s Mines’ landscape.

Other highlights of the holiday include Nieu Bethesda – centre of a vibrant artists community’ the Mountain Zebra National Park (with its stunning Bushman paintings); the village of Hogsback in the lush Amatola Mountains and, finally, the sub-tropical beach resort of Umngazi on the Indian Ocean – renowned for its excellent sea food.
