An early booking discount of £50 per person (adults and children) is available now and valid for bookings made before 28th February 2009. This offer is available on selected mid- and long-haul trips – identified online and in the Family Adventures brochure - where travel must be completed by 30th September 2009.
Examples of trips where this £50 early booking discount is available include:
• Land of Smiles – Thailand. This 14-day trip begins with a long-tailed boat ride along the canals of Bangkok before families head south to the tropical beaches of Koh Samet. Other adventures include the night markets of Chiang Mai, the elephants and caves of Soppong and an overnight village stay.
Easter holiday departures start from £1,249 per child and £1,449 per adult (including £50pp discount) for 4th – 17th April 2009. Land of Smiles also has further departure dates during the school summer holidays, with prices starting from £1,449 per child and £1,749 per adult (including £50pp discount). All prices quoted include flights, accommodation, transportation, some meals, activities and the services of a local guide.
• Feluccas & Pharaohs – Egypt. A 10-day exploration into the mysteries of ancient Egypt, including visits to the pyramids, the Sphinx and the magnificent temples in the Valley of the Kings. Families will spend a night on a felucca sailboat, experience Nubian traditions and snorkel in the Red Sea at Hurghada.
Several Easter holiday departures dates are available, with prices starting from £879 per child and £989 per adult (including £50pp discount). Further trips are available in July and August 2009 with prices starting from £899 per child and £969 per adult (including £50pp discount). • Viva Cuba – Cuba. This 12-day trip includes the elegant capital of Havana, the historic Bay of Pigs, the colonial city of Trinidad and time to relax on Cuba’s sandy beaches.
An Easter holiday departure, 5th – 16th April 2009, is available from £1,749 per child and £1,849 per person (including £50pp discount). Further departure dates are available in July and August 2009 with prices starting from £1,649 per child and £1,749 per adult (including £50pp discount). Half price child spaces
Families travelling with more than one child can take advantage of a second offer, where the second child place can be booked at half price. This offer is available on selected Adventure Company trips in Europe and North Africa when booked on a land-only (flight exclusive) basis. Bookings must be made by 24th April 2009 and travel completed by 30th September 2009, so again this offer is valid on selected departures during the Easter and Summer school holidays.
Families taking advantage of this offer can still book flights with the help of consultants at The Adventure Company, but flight prices cannot be offered at half price. Alternatively, families may elect to book their own flights – for example, with a budget airline.
Examples of trips where the second child pays half price include:
• Kids in the Kasbahs – Morocco. 8 days exploring fascinating Berber and Amazigh villages; the Atlas Mountains; the sandy beaches at Aourir and Essaouira; and the lively bazaars of Marrakech. This trip has departures in both the Easter and Summer school holidays. Land-only prices start from £399 (adult), £359 (full price child) or £179.50 (half price child)
• Active Morocco. This 8-day trip is an active adventure for families with teenage children. Families will mountain bike around the Draa Valley; take a camel ride to an overnight Bedouin-style desert camp; and hike through a section of the Todra Gorge. This trip has departures in both the Easter and Summer school holidays. Land-only prices start from £529 (adult / full price teenager) or £264.50 (half price teenager)
• Around the Bay of Naples – Italy. On this 8-day Italian adventure, families will visit the famous Vesuvius volcano and see the remains of Pompeii; learn pizza-making in the city where the Italian classic was invented; and stay on a working agriturismo (farm).
