From Elephant safaris and white-water rafting, to quad biking through the dunes of the Namib Desert and visiting community projects en route, this overland journey is a great way to experience the spectacular landscapes and wildlife of South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Zambia, from Cape Town to Livingstone.

This action-packed itinerary promises a comprehensive insight into more than just the highlights of South Africa. Explore the many sites of Cape Town and its surroundings, including the Cape of Good Hope and spectacular Table Mountain, for views over the Atlantic and Indian Oceans.

Journey through Cape Province taking in some beautiful scenery with rolling plains stretching out from the foot of Cedarberg Mountains. On to Fish River Canyon, one of the world’s largest canyons almost on a par with the Grand Canyon, then cross the Namib Desert, home to extraordinary wildlife, including herds of Elephant, Zebra, Oryx and other big game. Watch the sun set over Namib’s stunning dune fields, the most spectacular of which are found near Sesriem Canyon.

Visit a breeding ground for Cape Fur Seals at Cape Cross, on the barren, inhospitable Atlantic coast, then travel to the Wildlands around Spitzkoppe Mountain 1,987m. In northern Namibia camp at the beautiful N'Kwazi lodge, a tranquil spot on the banks of the Kavango River bordering Angola - a great place to relax. Go on safari in Etosha NP, one of the world's finest game parks where visitors can expect to see many buck species, Elephant, Giraffe and Rhino, and if very lucky, Leopard and Cheetah.

Continue further north to the lush ecosystem of Botswana’s Okavango Delta to observe Hippo, Crocodile, Elephant and a vast diversity of flora. See more wildlife during jeep safaris in Chobe NP, the second largest in Botswana, famed for its huge elephant population. Finally, explore the falls and gorges of the Zambezi River, canoe the Upper Zambezi or take a flight to see Victoria Falls in all its glory.
