The 2009 brochure also contains a brand new itinerary to one of Europe’s most captivating countries - Croatia, which is outside of the Euro zone and therefore being tipped as a financially astute holiday option for 2009. The 10-day Classic Croatia: Star of the Adriatic tour includes a taste of Croatia’s many highlights, which include the World Heritage city of Dubrovnik; the stunning lakes and waterfalls (plus wonderful wildlife such as bears and wolves) of Plitvice National Park; and the incredible island scenery along the beautiful Dalmatian coast. Tours depart in September and October and cost from £1,495 per person, to include flights, transfers, accommodation, some meals, various excursions and Titan’s exclusive VIP Home Departure Service.

Prices lead in at £645 per person for the 5-day Bruges: Cobbles, Canals & Chocolate tour, a no-fly adventure whose highlights include a walking tour of the picturesque city; tasting tours at a brewery and a chocolate factory; and a visit to the profoundly emotive battlefield sites of Ypres. Other additions to the 2009 brochure include two tours to different parts of Italy – the 11-day Sardinian Paradise and the 10-day Villas of Veneto itineraries (both costing from £1,395 per person). In fact, Italy is Titan’s best-selling European destination, with more holidays being offered to this one country than anywhere else in Europe.

The most popular holiday in the entire brochure is the 10-day Treasures of Italy itinerary (from £1,295 per person), which features the legendary cities of Venice, Bologna, Pisa, Florence and Rome alongside lesser-known gems like Orvieto and Assisi. Departures are available on a wide range of dates between April and November. The next most popular itinerary is the 10-day Sicily: Jewel of the Mediterranean tour, which costs from £1,275 per person and takes in historic towns, Greek ruins, Roman villas and the brooding might of Mount Etna.

Commenting on the new brochure Hugh Clayson said “With such a wide range of holiday types – including several cruise and rail itineraries that involve no flying whatsoever – our new European brochure offers the perfect introduction to the region, no matter what style or pace of travel our customers might prefer. In addition, the security and insight provided by our experienced tour guides mean that customers can focus entirely on enjoying their experience to the full, free from the potential challenges that can arise from travelling among unfamiliar languages, cultures and customs”.
