Celebrating the music of Handel

22nd January 2009 Print
The 250th anniversary of Handel's death takes place on 14 April 2009 and there are celebrations and special events throughout the year to commemorate the event. This baroque composer was recognised in England as the greatest of his day and was buried in Westminster Abbey.

With this in mind, walking and leisure activity breaks specialist, HF Holidays is highlighting its four-night 'Chanteuses - Women only' breaks, tailored especially for women as they include Handel's songs written or arranged just for upper and middle voices.

Taking place at two of the company's UK Country Houses - Bryn Corach in the world heritage town of Conwy in Snowdonia on 27 June and Monk Coniston at Conistonwater in the Lake District on 26 October - costs are £339 per person and £319 respectively.

These twin-share prices include four nights' full board en-suite accommodation and holiday programme with guidance and tuition from an experienced HF Holidays' singing teacher.

This is just one example of the company's music playing and singing and literature leisure activity breaks - hfholidays.co.uk/music&literature.
