3rd February 2009 Print
Holiday accommodation for all in Wiltshire VisitWiltshire has launched a new accommodation guide offering helpful information about where to stay around the county plus details of attractions, activities and the history of one of the UK’s most interesting counties.

The guide shows off the varied range of accommodation from friendly bed and breakfasts and farms stays, family oriented camping and self-catering properties to city breaks, romantic boutique hotels and stunning country house hotels.

All the accommodation featured in the guide is nationally quality assured, with properties assessed by either VisitBritain or the AA.

The 68-page guide is essential for all visitors to Wiltshire as it contains detailed information about the county and all it has to offer. Colourful illustrations highlight the wealth of exciting attractions in Wiltshire including historical sights such as Stonehenge, Avebury and Salisbury Cathedral.

Wiltshire is also the home of the old Great Western Steam Railway and not forgetting the many stunning stately homes and gardens, including Stourhead, Wilton House, Abbey House Gardens and Bowood, which are scattered all around the picturesque countryside.

Modern attractions that feature in the brochure range from heart racing activities at Castle Combe, Cotswold Water Park and Longleat to more relaxing countryside walks in the Cotswolds and Salisbury Plain or shopping in the cities, towns and villages.

The guide is helpfully split into sections by type of accommodation which is then grouped geographically to make selecting the right accommodation easy for readers. There are also helpful symbols against each property depicting everything from its grading to whether the property is good for walkers, cyclists, families or has won an award for its food and good practice.
