Happy house hires by the sea

5th February 2009 Print
Happy house hires by the sea Brits who have already decided it’s the year for staycations have the opportunity to do something completely different in 2009 by plumping for a house holiday break in Britain’s most loved seaside resort.

House holiday breaks are a new concept at The Beach House Blackpool – the resort’s first all five star self-catering accommodation. By taking the whole house, seconds from the beach and boasting unobstructed sea views, a group of family or friends get the keys to seven superb, luxury apartments for two nights.

North West England’s self-catering accommodation of the year is flying the flag for excellence in a resort offering an unparalleled number of activities and attractions for families.

Its seven 5 star apartments cater for every family member. Whoever is best in the culinary department has a superbly equipped open plan kitchen at their disposal, whilst non cooks can relax on a leather suite or at the breakfast bar, or take advantage of the free wireless internet.

Youngsters can watch TV, DVDs and Freeview channels, whilst older teenage girls are hard to drag away from the dressing unit and mirror, as they try out the latest hairstyles in the mood-lit bedroom.

All apartments are double glazed, fully insulated and soundproofed, making them snug boltholes at any time of year.

With round-the-year entertainment available in Blackpool, a two-night house hire is a wonderful way to celebrate a family event, or friends reunion. All apartments are furnished to the same standard, with the same fixtures and fittings, so there are no rows about who’s got the nicest furnishings.

The smallest apartment is The Sandpiper, a secluded basement apartment with sunken garden and water feature, sleeping one or two people and baby.

The largest are the Champagne Duplex, Starlight and Sunset Suites, each of which are two bed-roomed, sleeping one to six adults/children. The Champagne Duplex Suite can also accommodate two babies, whilst Sunset and Starlight can take one.

Some suites have decked area or terrace overlooking the sea and activity on the lovely Queens Promenade, at the northern end of Blackpool seafront and close to the award-winning Cleveleys promenade.

Special arrangements can also be made for groups taking the whole house, whether this is a celebratory buffet, or appropriate decorations for a special occasion such as a Ruby Wedding or birthday party.

There is a supermarket within easy walking distance and a selection of good restaurants – ideal for those not wishing to cook.

A house holiday break, booking all seven apartments and sleeping up to 32 adults and children and seven babies costs £1200 for two nights. The mid season hire cost is £1400 and a high season hire £1700. These prices are for two-nights complete hire of the house and include special food requests, décor and transport.
