A holiday where a wheelbarrow is essential

26th February 2009 Print
A traditional fisherman's cottage - situated at the end of a steeply winding cliff road and where luggage is trundled along the path by wheelbarrow - is just one of the properties on offer this Easter by Scottish cottage agency, Ecosse Unique.

Dolphin Cottage (sleeping four) enjoys a dramatic location just feet from the rocky shore, backed by grassy cliffs, in the tiny village of Crovie on the Moray coast.

It's snug and cosy - complete with open fire in the sitting room and Aga in the kitchen - and enjoys breathtaking views across the bay where dolphins are regular visitors.

A leisurely stroll underneath the cliff leads to the neighbouring village of Gardenstown - where there's a butcher, baker and general store - while slightly further afield (10 miles) is the ancient country town of Banff.

A seven night Easter holiday, starting on 11 April, costs £465, rising to £495 during July and August.
