Burgundy, uniquely diverse:
Probably most famous for its wines, Burgundy has much more to offer, particularly to those looking for outdoor activities.
For those looking to take to the water, Burgundy has the most extensive network of canals and waterways in France. Waterway stops have been created in several destinations along the canals, where visitors can step off their boat and explore, or take a leisurely lunch.
The gentle landscape lends itself to exploring by bike. Miles of dedicated cycle paths weave through vineyards and beautiful scenery avoiding main roads and traffic.
The region also has a reputation for fine wine and excellent cuisine. A visit to Burgundy would not be complete without touring one of the many vineyards and sampling some of the local wines.
