Leisure activity holidays in Europe

Following the success of its Leisure Activity holidays programme in the UK, HF Holidays - the walking and leisure activity breaks specialist - has introduced a selection of these holidays into Europe for 2009.

There's a choice of eight different activity ideas including, for example, an eight-day Salsa and Tango option at Cómpeta in Andalucia, Spain where the dance tuition - both Salsa and Tango sessions - takes place in the morning and evening with afternoons free to soak up the sun or explore the surrounding area.

Starting 23 August, the cost is £475 (land-only) or £699 inclusive of return flights and transfers with accommodation at the three-star Hotel Balcon de Cómpeta.

Or head to Italy and gain an insight into fine Umbrian cuisine - courtesy of the Bianconi family - on an eight-day Gourmet Cooking and Walking break based at the Hotel Grotta Azzura in Norcia. There's also the opportunity to discover the region's wines, search for truffles (returning to the hotel to cook them) and join walks on alternate days.

Available with three departures - 6 June, 26 September and 3 October - the cost is £615 (land-only) or £815 inclusive of return Heathrow flights and transfers.

All prices quoted are per person, based on two sharing and include seven nights' half-board, the holiday programme and the services of an HF Holidays' leader.
