Outback adventure - but not a back-pack in sight

Tailor-made specialist Freedom Australia is highlighting a 31-day camping adventure as an ideal way for 'grown up gappers' - including those taking an enforced career-break - to explore Australia.

But this is no back-packers' overland trip. Fully-escorted throughout, travel is by comfortable air-conditioned coach with plenty of sightseeing stops along the way.

Overnight stops are made at well-equipped campsites. Travellers sleep in easy-to-erect two-man tents with all kit provided while the professional cook takes care of the catering - no Bush Tucker Trials here!

Tour highlights are too many too list. The route starts in Sydney, travels across the Flinders Ranges, through the Red Centre and up to Darwin before heading east across the Barkly Tablelands to Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef, finally returning down the Gold Coast back to Sydney.
