Fiji for families

Kumuka Worldwide has introduced a selection of small group tours to Fiji - reputedly one of the friendliest places in the world - into its 2009 programme.

The Fiji Islands combine white sandy beaches and superb marine life with highlands, canyons and rivers and are an ideal destination for both adults and children and, with this in mind, the company's new Family Adventure tours include a variety of activities as well as ample time for relaxing at the beach.

The nine-day Fiji Highlands & Islands tour, for example, includes a day of white water rafting and a Sigatoka River jet boat safari followed by a visit to a traditional Fijian village as well as exploring the Coral Coast and visiting the Sigatoka Sand Dunes and Kula Eco Park.

Available with a selection of departures from the end of May, the land-only cost is £906 per adult (twin-share) and £234 per child aged eight to 11 years. This includes eight nights' hotel with breakfast, all transport, activities and entrance fees as per itinerary and the services of local guides. Ex UK flights not included but can be arranged on request.

Other options include a nine-day Fiji Island Family Tour and a nine-day Fiji Action and Relaxation tour for adventurous travellers.
