Active holidays - a great idea for single parents

PGL is highlighting its 'Family Active' holidays as the ideal solution - both socially and financially - for single parents. Unlike a stay in an impersonal hotel, with Family Active single parents and their children will join other families in a programme of challenging and fun activities which are guaranteed to 'break the ice'.

In addition, if the parent and children share an en suite family room, there's no single room supplement charge.

Family Active breaks and holidays are available at eight locations in England and Scotland.

As an example of prices, a seven-night stay at the Caythorpe Court adventure centre in Lincolnshire in August is £309 per adult, £249 for children aged six-to-18 years and £150 for the two-to-fives.

Short breaks are also available. For example, at Boreatton Park in Shropshire a four-night, midweek stay starting 25 May is £219, £199 and £120 respectively.

Prices are inclusive of full-board accommodation, all activities - everything from abseiling to raft building, canoeing to motorsports - and evening entertainment.
