Two-centre city breaks fit the bill
For those who fancy a city break - but are keen to avoid the 'hassle' of airports this summer - the Switzerland Travel Centre reckons its two-centre breaks with travel on Eurostar and TGV should fit the bill. The company is highlighting leisurely two-centre stays combining the romance and glamour of Paris with the sophisticated charm of the Swiss lakeside city of Geneva.
On offer between 1 May and 31 October, the twin share price of £467 per person includes return second class rail travel - Eurostar from London St Pancras to Gare du Nord and on TGV from Gare de Lyon to Geneva - and two nights' hotel accommodation with breakfast in each city.
The chosen three-star hotels - the Meslay-Republique in Paris and the International & Terminus in Geneva - are all located close to the arrival or departure railway station.
Two-centre rail breaks, combining Paris with Lausanne, are also available.
