Make a 'Namibian Discovery'

16th April 2009 Print
A fully escorted tour through the stunning scenery of Namibia - where highlights include the vast Etosha National Park and the geological wonders of Damaraland - is the latest offering from specialist operator, Freedom Africa.

Wildlife spotting opportunities are endless throughout the trip and there's a full day of game viewing at Etosha which teems with animal and birdlife including rhinos, lions, elephants, giraffes and zebras.

Further highlights include the seaside resort of Swakopmund and the Namib Naukluft Park - home to the Sossusvlei sand dunes where, for the energetic and stout hearted, a climb is a must - and the ancient rock engravings at Burnt Mountains.

Visitors will also enjoy spectacular - and dramatic scenery - throughout the trip such as the Moon Landscape - a totally barren, undulating, rocky desert which was formed by the valleys of the Swakop River.

These 10-day breaks, available year-round on a land-only basis, cost £1445 per person (twin share) inclusive of mainly half-board ensuite accommodation, all transport within Namibia in modern, air-conditioned vehicles plus the services of a tour manager/guide throughout.

Alternatively, for the adventurous, a self drive version costs just £925 with accommodation and car included.

Freedom Africa flights to Namibia start at £499 per person return.
